Sup Dog! Creeper Play-doh Egg

Now that we’ve been at this Youtube video business for a couple of weeks, we’ve started to evaluate our viewer trends.  For now the Play-doh surprise eggs opened by Feepy seem to be the winners.  The Sulley egg has surpassed 100 views.  Yay!  So we decided to keep with the trend and try another design.  Feepy is a huge Minecraft fan, so mom modeled a creeper egg.  Feepy says that creepers are cool because they explode.  It’s so interesting to listen in on kids’ conversations about the Minecraft game, the book collection they all seem to have, and the associated toys and trinkets.

Prizes inside the Creeper egg include:  an Ironman bobble head, a Thor miniature, a Hot Wheels surprise, and duplicate of the Carpenter Lego Minifigure from Series 13.  We’re hoping to reach out to Lego Collectors because we’re giving away all of our duplicate minifigures.  We’re looking for Lego forums, fanclubs, etc. to spread the word.  We’d love to here from you, Lego fans!  Leave us a comment to let us know where we can join you in discussing all fun things Lego!

Everything is Awesome! Lego Play-doh Suprise Egg

Feepy cracks open another Play-doh surprise egg.  This one is filled with two Lego minifigure blind bags, a Kreo micro-changers, and a Sickbricks.  He duplicated the Goblin from Series 13 Lego minifigures.  This was the first time that we’d ordered  Lego blind bags from Amazon and the percentage of duplicates seems much higher than when we’ve purchased them from Walgreens, or when Feepy has received them as gifts from family members.  Where do you buy your Lego minifigures?  Have you have completed your Series 13 collection?  Which pieces are you missing to complete your set?  Leave a comment and let us know!

Let’s do this! Opening Superhero Play-doh Surprise Eggs

The boys usually get some TV time after dinner and bath. They look forward to their quiet time, and they usually keep to themselves for a little while. But last night, mom sat down to make Superhero Play-doh eggs, and the boys quickly left their places in the recliners to check out the fun.

We took some inspiration from other Youtube creators who have modeled similar eggs. There are some really great Play-doh surprise egg videos out there, and we’re continuing to experiment to find our own groove. The little one was eager to sit next to mom so that he could roll some dough while watching a video of 100 egg reveals. Feepy stood by to provide artistic feedback.

We debated whether to put this video together last night since it’s testing week at school and we need to ensure Feepy is getting restful sleep. But, the eggs came along quickly, so mom took the little one to bed while dad and Feepy moved to the studio (aka the playroom). Feepy slapped on his Lightening McQueen wrist band, “Let’s Do This!” He really had loosened up and had such a good time.

Check out his video:

We’re glad we stuck with our video production plan. Our goal is to upload at least one video per day to grow our channel. And Feepy revealed a surprise toy that he’d been hoping to get: the Lego Minifigures Series 13 Carpenter. That’s a good end to a long day of standardized assessments.

The Majestic Light-up Olaf Play-doh Surprise Egg

While the boys did have fun behind the scenes of the Play-doh Disney Frozen Sparkle Snow Dome production, Feepy really was getting antsy for a chance to open another egg himself.

We had recently picked up some new surprises to review (some were awesome clearance finds!) so we loaded it with several things that we knew he’d love:
a Spider-man bobble-head, a Heroics minifigurine, a Kreo Transformers Micro-changer, a Hot Wheels blind bag, and a Lego minifigures Series 12 blind bag.  We decorated the bright-orange play-doh covered egg with a light-up Olaf Yazzle and some play-doh snowflakes.  We all thought it looked great.  Feepy declared it “majestic!”

He did a great job reviewing the toys on our YouTube channel. We thought it was really cute that he converted the Olaf Yazzle from play-doh egg decoration to an official “Toy Reviewer Badge.”

The majestic light-up Olaf play-doh  surprise egg was fairly inexpensive to create, especially for the amount of prizes.  Including all items, the egg came in around $14.  Now, mom tends to shy away from a lot of clutter, but the boys really do love trinkets.  Feepy is working on a few small collections, and both boys always have a treasure in their hands.  In fact, we kept the little one busy throughout the video shoot set-up with a small surprise egg filled with his two current favorite Sickbricks and the bouncy ball he had gotten from the dentist earlier in the day.  He took the egg with him for bedtime.

It’s no surprise now that our boys love the egg fun. Since a $14 dollar surprise is not a practical everyday eggs-travaganza, we are  incorporating surprise eggs in some other free to no-cost ways at home.  We’ll be sharing those ideas with you soon!

Lego Disney Princess Jasmine’s Exotic Palace

Lego Disney Princess Jasmine’s Exotic Palace is a fabulous build!  We highly recommend this set for your Lego and princess enthusiast.

This 143-piece set includes Princess Jasmine, her pet tiger Rajah, the palace, and four other smaller accessory builds.  Bag one includes the Jasmine minifigure and all of the pieces to make Alladin’s magic carpet, a pedestal for Genie’s lamp, a marketplace stand with magic potions, a water feature that is reminiscent of the one that Queen Elsa freezes, and a shaded area for Rajah to eat.  There is also a snake charming toy.  Bag two includes all of the pieces to construct the opulent palace which is adorned with purple flowers, torches, a gilded domed roof, luxurious furniture, and pretty stickers.

Once built, the playset is a fun, interactive toy.  Jasmine can ride the carpet around her kingdom, roam around the palace, feed her pet, and take care of the grounds.  Add in other Lego minifigures or other Disney princesses for unlimited play scenarios.

The set is labeled for ages 5-12.   Surely this a a fun build for any Disney Princess fan, though!

Monsters, Inc. Sulley Egg Surprise! Huevos Sorpresa!

Hey!  This is Feepy at Toy Toons Reviews.  I just opened my first play-doh egg.  My mom made a Sulley from Monsters, Inc.  I watched her make it, too.  Well, after she hid the prizes inside.  She used a stuffed Sulley to get an idea how he looks.  I think he turned out pretty awesome. Later she made a Mike wazowski, and I made the little horns for him.

Then I got to open the Sulley for a surprise egg video.  Pulling apart the play-doh pieces was fun.  When I got down to the plastic egg, I could already tell there were Lego minifigures inside.  Booyah!  And they were actually Series 13 which is awesome because I don’t have any of those yet.  Plus there was a Sickbricks bag.  He was Hiro Thunderbutt.  That’s a new one for me.

I got 5 of the Series 13 Lego minifigures.  I looked them up for the official names: Galaxy trooper, alien trooper, evil wizard, classic king, and goblin.  I hope I can find all the rest: Snake charmer, lady cyclops, paleontologist, carpenter, hotdog man, Sheriff, samurai, disco diva, sensor, unicorn girl, Egyptian warrior.  I was stoked to get 5 out of 5 with no duplicates.

Are you a Lego collector?  We have a giveaway for some Series 12 and Simpsons.  Check it out:

Play-Doh Surprise Egg 1

We’re unwrapping a custom coral reef Play-doh egg filled with a wonderful surprise!

Be sure to subscribe to our youtube channel!

We love watching Youtube creators open hand-crafted Play-doh eggs, and we were so anxious to try making our own.  We decided to go with a coral reef theme to match the fun contents of the surprise inside the egg.  First we rolled out the aqua dough and applied it to the plastic egg.  Then we rolled, cut, and applied the coral, the goldfish, and the purple octopus.  Very pretty!

Our little one was on stand-by for the reveal.  He snatched the goldfish right away.  Inside the surprise Play-doh egg was a Lego Friends building toy.  It was the Seal’s Little Rock from series 6.  Again, our little one kept occupied with the Lego seal and Lego fish figurines while mom started the build.  The instructions for this set were very clear, and it was a quick assembly.  The final display is an adorable seal with a bow on her head.  She has various platforms surrounded by pink flowers.  She also has a see-saw and yellow ball for play, and a fish for play or training incentive.

Let us know if you like to see custom Play-doh eggs.  We’re excited to make more!  There are some really cool ones here:  DCTC link.
